  I engaged 7H to conduct a structural survey for the purchase of a grade 2 listed cottage, following structural queries noted in the mortgage lender's valuation survey that held up the sale. Alec's experience with listed properties and his local knowledge were a real asset in getting a clearer picture to the mortgage provider, and ultimately enabling the purchase to go ahead. Alec made time available at short notice and produced a comprehensive and easy to read document - with clear photography - which satisfied the mortgage provider, informed immediate renovations to be carried out ahead of exchange of contracts, and ultimately sped up the whole process and saved me money. I understand the idiosyncrasies of my new home far better as a result of Alec's advice, and I still refer to the 7H report regularly when planning ongoing maintenance work. Highly recommended.
